The Marcus Garvey Park Alliance was originally formed as a neighborhood group to advocate for improvements to Marcus Garvey Park, back in 2000, as the park became a safe space for community residents to gather the organization turned its focus to programming in the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater and under utilized open spaces throughout the park.
